It wasn't penetrating the barrier that the branches made, so Astraea had made her way to the evergreens when the rain began to fall. It was early morning and not much seemed to be awake in the woody area. Astraea loved the evergreens because of how much earthy essence resided here. The smell of wet foliage and dirt was all around and the Pacis mare adored it.
Moving slowly under the canopy of rich, green trees Astraea let herself wonder about who or what might be out there this early and rainy morning. Breathing in the rich smells of the woods Astraea let out a sigh and stopped walking through the damp woods. She had gone pretty far into the land and could clearly make out the sound of the stream trickling by. She thought for a moment and looked at the damp ground below her feet. Not much grew on the forest floor. The lack of sunlight made it hard for vegetation to sustain itself all the way down here. But that was one of the things that Astraea enjoyed about coming here.
A sliver of a smile pulled at her pink lips and the green and white mare, she focused on the ground beneath her hooves and slowly small tufts of grass and flowers pushed their way up from the soil. It was always a joy to create the lovely green plants she saw around, and what better place to do it than a forest floor where it was little more than a blank canvas for her. Though the flowers that she created would not last long here, they were pleasant to look at for a while.
Lifting her head Astraea sighed. She was getting a bit bored waiting for this storm to pass. The Pacis mare hadn't seen any others this morning and that never was fun for her. The girl loved to talk and socialize. So perhaps once the rain quit it's relentless downpour she would be able to head to a land that wasn't so dark and devoid of others. "I probably should have just powered through the storm. Not like a little rain could hurt me" Astraea spoke aloud to the forest. Shaking her braided tail and mane off off of her damp body she decided to wait patiently for a moment, and see if the water would quit hitting the canopy top and let her know it was fine to go out and explore. One second passed. Then two. Astraea let out an agitated sigh. "Waiting is incredibly boring." She said, looking down at the little purple flowers she had brought up from the ground. Though she didn't have the ability to speak to the plants as some of her kind did, there was nothing wrong with talking to whatever is around if there aren't any ears to hear you.
i say we rob from the rich and blow down the door. on to the next to dance with the poor [/style]

Cranium hanging low and orbs lazily half opened. The rain around him pattered against the canopy of trees, with a few drops able to drip down through the levels and litter the forest around him. Small drops made themselves visible. Lengthy ivory tendrils danced past his thick nape while his whipcord drug solemnly on the forest floor gathering small twigs and debris. Emerald stalks of ivy delicately intertwined in his banner and whipcord along with a small piece that hung low in front of his emerald orbs.
Daggers firmly pressed against the moist soil just sinking lightly, with heavy footfalls. The way he moved even looked depressed. His orbs just stared in the distance as he walked aimlessly to no certain destination—he was just walking, his mind empty of thought and his brain processing nothing besides demanding his legs to work correctly. The stag was rather handsome, had long slender tendons, a thick body mass, perfectly ivory pelt, long and thick tendrils that danced about freely and a wonderfully dished cranium. He was very handsome indeed but it seemed his looks were all women wanted him for.
With each step he took, small patches of moss came out and remained where his hoof prints were. The stag was doing his job on adding some nice vegetation to the forest floor. It seemed every time he stopped thinking and just walked, his powers leaked out through his daggers. The soft trickle of a stream came audibly to his pricks, casting a thirst upon his parched throat. Sighing, as if it was such an effort to drink, he moved slowly towards it, cranium still down cast in a solemn manner.
Coming through some rather thick brush, he submerged from it and his emerald orbs met with another equine. Rather surprised his cranium lifted, orbs widened slightly and nostrils flared. It had been awhile he had startled himself. Instantly he noticed she was female and lowered his cranium in a respectful manner and took two steps back, his back left stepping on his lengthy whipcord stopping him from moving back any more. Quickly he replied, vocals almost stuttering for him mind couldn’t process the words quick enough. “O-oh my, I am s-sorry. I didn’t know any one else was out here.”
|
[/b] Embarrassed he shyly looked away to the creek, he just had to make things awkward. Bringing his emerald pools back to her, he attempted to look over her quickly but respectfully. It was evident he was in the presence of another Pacis, which seemed to be a rare occurrence. He couldn’t help but notice her green paint markings, the braids, and her green dagger. She was rather dashing and it seemed they had similar ancestry—assuming from her wonderfully beautiful dished cranium. She too had gorgeous emerald orbs. For a split moment he felt something flicker in his chest but it quickly vanquished for he tore his gaze away to the stream. Staring at the small streamed he processed what to think but moved his attention back to her as the rain poured down harshly on the forest, 575d49 “Since it seemed I already made a dashing entrance, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Octavio. Tis a pleasure to meet you miss.”[/b] his vocals were smooth like whiskey and tender. He was such a gentleman despite his harsh past—the perfect man too bad some one soiled his poor heart, this poor boy would never be capable of love again, or could he? [/justify] Octaviowalks. [style=width: 500px; background-color:d1dd87; font-family: courier new ;font-size:11px; color:#fff; text-align:center;"] [/style][style=font-family: 'Megrim'; padding-left:5px; font-size: 80px; letter-spacing: 20px; text-align:center; color: #999933; line-height: 0%;] astraea she's got you high and you don't even know yet she's got you high and you don't even know yet the sun's in the sky, its warming up your bare legs you can't deny your looking for the sunset The damp air had her banner braided green and creme mane hanging heavily over her neck, sticking lightly with humidity despite just having given it a good shake. The trickle of the stream was mixing in with the sound of the storm above. The small purple flowers growing around her multicolored hooves Astraea looked back down at them with a sigh. What an incredibly uneventful day this was turning out to be.
Rained out of the plains, nobody to talk to, bored out of her min--Astraea's auds pricked at the sound of another creature in her vicinity. She wasn't stupid and knew that these woods could be a little less than safe she tensed up, ready to face whatever emerged from the forest. Her mind raced with possibilities. A great huge bear, a sly mountain lion, or maybe a pack of ravenous wolves. Emerald orbs gazed out, ready for the worst when the last thing she expected moped on through the brush.
A regal, pure grey stallion stepped towards the trickling stream. Well. He would be a tad more regal and authoritative if he didn't hang his dished skull so low to the earth. As if on cue he immediately raised his head and looked right at her. Trying not to startle him more than he already was Astraea tried to appear as un-menacing as possible. Lowering her own ivory face a fraction in response to his greeting she softened her expression to one that she hoped didn't betray the intense gleam of curiosity in her eyes. Who was he? She hadn't met him before. Her eyes glanced him over a bit obviously, and she smiled. A Pacis stallion, quite obviously, based on the delicate tendrils of vines in his mane and tail. It had been some time since she had accidentally bumped into her own kind in a while.
He stepped back a few paces before landing upon his own long tail. A smile immediately played at the corner of Astraea's map from this. Poor boy was half scared to death. But Astraea was nothing if not friendly, and she was determined to try and loosen up this tightly wound Pacis. "You have nothing to be sorry for, the forest is plenty big enough for the both of us." Astraea said, trying to be friendly as she could. Problem was that she was about as subtle as a flying brick.
Looking toward him as he looked away Astraea wondered why he seemed so off-put by her presence. Perhaps he was one of the shyer Pacis. No problem. She would make a new friend out of him yet. Or at least an acquaintance to wait out this storm with. He spoke with words that held more warmth than he appeared to. It made Astraea pause her mental scheming of forcing this poor bloke to entertain her with his presence and tales of his life and the weather for just a moment. Her emerald orbs looked toward him as he spoke and she moved toward him once he was finished.
A step closer she inspected him for a moment before speaking in a voice warm with life. "It was an entrance that rivals any other. Honestly the pleasure is mine. I was so sure that I would have to spend all day here in my own company." Astraea spoke, a hint of laughter in her words as she jested. "Octavio. A fine name. I am Astraea." Astraea stood where she was for a moment, her eyes quite briefly moving to the trickling stream before returning to him, interest clear in them. Breathing deeply, the scent of wet earth filled her senses.
"I love the rain... and I suppose I don't at the same time since it has me wandering around these woods." Astraea spoke mostly trying to go through the normal motions of small talk. Thunder cracked overhead, it's booming sound sudden and a bit out of the blue. Startled a bit Astraea jerked her head up as rain continued to drip down through the canopy of trees. With one exhale she moved toward the stream, those little purple flowers vivid and flourishing where she had just moved from. "So, Octavio." She said, moving in front of him with interest. "I have to say I haven't seen another of Pacis breeding around, though I have been traveling on my own for a bit. Anything bring you into these woods besides the downpour?" Emerald orbs looked across his face for an answer and she smiled softly. Hopefully she'd be able to coax something out of this shy, grey stallion. Or she'd be right back where she started. In these questionable woods; alone; and, most importantly, bored. whats this about? i figured love would shine through we've lost romance this world has turned so see through open your mind, believe it's going to come to romance alive and hope she's going to tell you [/style]

The moment he emerged from the brush and made eye contact, he noticed he had startled her as well, causing him to feel rather bad. It was definitely not his intensions to sneak up on her like that, for he was sure he startled himself more than he had done to her. His emerald orbs looked over her apologetically feeling remorse soak into his veins. By the pleasant look upon her facial features however seemed to subside his remorse—apparently he hadn’t done to much harm. All though it seemed she looked pleased to see him, he still felt awkward standing there like an idiot. Oh how he wished he had the powers to dissipate in thin air and be just a figment of her imagination. Seeing her vibrant smile, he forced and awkward crooked one that seemed rather unpracticed—it was almost painful.
Stepping on his tail he flinched in the response in not only pain but embarrassment as well. God, why did he have to be such an idiot, it seemed he was incapable of being normal any more since that stupid whore broke his heart for the very last time. Standing there awkwardly, he kept his forced, but slight smile as he watched her own shoot across his ebony labrums. She did it so easily, it amazed him. Why in the hell was she so happy? He was mad at her or annoyed but genuinely curious. There was absolutely nothing in his life that he could be happy about. He had gotten his hearten broken so many times he lost count, he wasn’t getting and younger and had done nothing worth living for—it was a solemn thought but however so sad it was true.
Lost in thought about how happy she seemed, he was brought back to reality by her sweet friendly lyrics, "You have nothing to be sorry for, the forest is plenty big enough for the both of us." Octavio smiled pleasantly and nodded in agreement, deciding nodding was enough. God knew if he opened his mouth only shit would spew from it. A good way to describe this sweet vixen in front of him was Pinkie Pie off of My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic. She was exuberant, hyper, active, and very sweet with a smile plastered to her face every moment so far. Of course there was nothing wrong with that but for mister-depressed Octavio, it made him the least bit uncomfortable and unsure how to act.
Long ago before he found the cruel reality of love he was just like her; excited about everything, personable, happy, loving, and very friendly. Unfortunately due to a selfish girl who took advantage of his heart—he no longer feels anything at all besides pain. As the ivory vixen moved closer, he felt himself rock back a half step, not quite sure what to do… She was so personable and he was so… not. "It was an entrance that rivals any other. Honestly the pleasure is mine. I was so sure that I would have to spend all day here in my own company." A soft smile spread across features still rigid like his muscles that stiffened as he stood there. Orbs watched her as he noticed, her noticing how off he was being. Mentally kicking himself, he let a deep sigh escape his own ebony labrums and tried to loosen up. Letting his muscle relax just slightly he looked to her with his kind eyes and a more natural smile came forward. It was difficult but it seemed he still had the ability to do it…
"Octavio. A fine name. I am Astraea." Ah introduction, they were so rather annoying but necessary. Slowly he dipped his cranium to his breast plate and gave a nice little bow in respect. Ivory tendrils hung low, hitting the forest floor. Slowly straightening up he spoke sweetly, “Tis a pleasure to meet you Astraea. Your name is almost as beautiful as yourself.”
|
[/b] It seemed he wasn’t completely rusty at this whole introduction thing. The old chap did have some charm left in him. Standing there he watched her eyes, and followed their destination. Tilting his cranium back he stared into the dark canopy of trees as the blackened cloud stared angrily back. Small droplet danced down the branches and a few plunged into his pelt. Slowly he glanced back to her as she spoke innocently. ” I love the rain... and I suppose I don't at the same time since it has me wandering around these woods." Letting a soft chuckle he nodded in agreement. The thunder cracked across the sky as it flashed with lightning, causing him to feel the slightest chill rattled down his spinal column. Her jumping just slightly was noticed in the corner of his eye causing the slightest smile—it was rather adorable. Following her, he moved closer to the stream, as he lowered his cranium, while ivory tendrils dipped in and floated above on the surface, sliding with the current. His labrums slid into its icy depths and he drank calmly, closing his orbs as the cool liquid slid down his parched vox. As he drank he heard her question softly, . "So, Octavio. I have to say I haven't seen another of Pacis breeding around, though I have been traveling on my own for a bit. Anything bring you into these woods besides the downpour?" Lifting his cranium, small droplets dripped off his lips. Finishing swallowing he replied, “To be honest I haven’t either and the rain is pretty much the reason why. For some reason I tend to travel a lot though.”[/b] Looking down he moved his right front dagger, and underneath it was a new forming patch of moss. Shaking his head he chuckled, “Apparently I don’t use my powers enough…”[/b] Generally if a Pacis didn’t use its powers, they would get so strong that they start doing their own things. It was like one of this things that its fills up so full it just starts spewing every where. Shaking his cranium lightly at himself, he looked to Astraea, but in the process notices the wonderful delicate purple flowers. They were much to perfect to not be created. Looking to her he tilted his cranium slightly as he asked, “Did you make those?”[/b] Slowly he stepped towards them, dropping his cranium to them and let his nostrils inhale only mere centimeters away, taking in their fresh fragrance. Nudging them tenderly, his labrums brushed against he soft petals. Studying them he slowly lifted his cranium and replied with an impressed manner, “Those are exquisite Astraea. If you don’t mind me asking how old are you? You don’t look a day over three—but to be able to create something so flawless takes years of practice. I am so impressed!”[/b] Before Octavio could notice it he was beginning to warm up to her and feel more comfortable—but the second he realized it he was going to shut down to reserve for he would remember what monsters females were and they were all alike… Octaviowalks.
