Atlantis had lived a hard life this past two years. Being born the apple of her fathers eye, Atlantis had known the life of luxury the first three years of her life. Atlantis' beauty made her wanted by every stag that came by the herd. The stag she called her father had a hell of a time keeping stallions from stealing her. Many have tried. Atlantis never did understand what was so special about her. She was of three different shades, which of course Atlantis believed made her desirable. Her pelt was the color of buttermilk cream, and ivory white. Her mane and tail a mixture of white, cream and black. Atlantis had a long intelligent looking head. her orbs the shade of bright hazel. Atlantis didnt have very long legs meant for hard travel, but she was short and stocky. Built for stamina and being able to last a long time. What was so special about her? She had the beauty of her mother and the build of her father. And still the stags came and went. Challenging for the right to steal Atlantis while her father fought them off. Atlantis' mother was a very intelligent old mare, She taught Atlantis everything there was to know about philosophy and about the stars in the sky. Atlantis used to love staying up late and counting the stars. They were a beauty that no one would be able to understand.
When Atlantis turned three there was a suitor that came calling. He was a fierce looking paint stallion. Her father was ready to try and fight him off as well as the rest but he was an old stag now. Atlantis feared for his safety more than anything. Could you say it was love for the stag that drew here away from her family. Maybe. But it was more the thought of being able to experience life outside of her father's grazing grounds. To be able to see the world with nothing but a stallion to tell her what to do. So Atlantis left her family with this large sorrel stallion, not really knowing what she was doing. It didn't take long for Atlantis to realize that she was in way over her head. This stallion already had a herd. His name was Thor and he had a large enough herd to supply two stallions with their own mares. And the stallion was the least of her problems. Thor had chosen a hardy mare as his lead and she was hell bent on putting Atlantis through her paces. If Atlantis wasn't getting beat up one day by a mare Thor was mounting her the next. Atlantis had never seen her father treat her mother like this. Thor treated his mares like they were slaves to do what he wished. Only his lead mare had his heart and his affections. Atlantis didn't like living like this at all. She was used to being treated with respect and she had seen how much her father loved her mother. And it was very clear when Atlantis became pregnant that Thor did not love her, not even a little bit. One of the other mares started noticing that Atlantis was getting larger, and she warned Atlantis about what would happen when she told Thor she was pregnant. But Atlantis didn't listen. Surely he wouldn't kill his own offspring.
When Atlantis told Thor that she was pregnant Thor was furious. Atlantis did not understand. Isn't that the whole point of mating to have a foal? But Thor made it loud and clear, the only mare allowed to hold a foal and carry it would be the lead mare. Or else. Thor chased Atlantis down and pommeled her with his strong front hooves, one scraping across the right side of her face. Atlantis felt searing pain all over her body but could not fight back. Only when Thor believed she was as good as dead did he leave her be. Took the rest of the herd and left. Atlantis was confused and angry. Why did he try to take her from her home just to treat her this way. Atlantis laid there in the grass for several days before trying to get up. It was then and only then that she decided she was going to have the foal if he had survived the beating. She was going to have it and raise it, and never find another stag unless it was for love. And that is where she is now. Atlantis willed herself to survive and she had a healthy little colt. Granted he is a feisty little thing that drives his mother insane most of the time but she loves him dearly. In all of her travels Atlantis had never been to Narado meadows. When she reached them Atlantis looked around with her bright hazel orbs sensing for any danger ahead. But of course her darned son galloped ahead of her and began galloping and playing in the tall grasses. Rhaego don't go far! Atlantis yelled after him. Only to hear him laughing as he continued to play. He was going to be the death of her. Atlantis snorted and walked forward finding a nice juicy patch of grass to graze on while her son played. He would be tired soon.

Just an empty abyss waiting for you to travel down the wrong path and get spit back out into a new path to only fuck it up all over again? Well it was for Octavio. He’s spent the last thirteen traveling down the wrong path only to find he is nothing but a failure. When his failures began he figured it was due to his young recklessness but now it was prominent as ever—he had done nothing in his life to own up to. All he was, was a walking carcass of emptiness. Once passionate, loving, and courageous now walked a weak brokenhearted stallion waiting for his life to end. Suicide had crossed his mind almost daily—but it seemed he hadn’t been pushed to the over the edge, at least not yet. No not over the edge, but he was teetering on it, waiting for that last push.
Slender ivory tendons walked carefully through the tall emerald stalks that danced against the base of his barrel. His nape was stretched out and allowed his ivory cranium to hang low just above the stalks as it softly brushed against his pelt with each step he took. Bleached tendrils laid lifeless on his thick nape along with a few strands of vegetation that grew with his banner. His flag drug upon the realm’s soil, gathering small debris in the tip. Vibrant rays of the sun cascaded down on his luxurious pelt as he solemnly moved from the covered shade of the meadow and into the open meadows. No thought traveled in his mind, it was just an emptiness of nothing.
Emerald orbs closed softly as he moved about aimlessly towards no true destination. For the past three years he traveled from place to place with no desire and no destination. As he submerged from the shadows from a cluster of oak trees, he heard soft laughter—something his old ear had gone what seemed like a decade, hearing. Quickly his cranium lifted and his emerald pools opened. Ivory tendrils danced on both sides of his mane as he gazed into the realm’s open meadow. Before his eyes stood a young mother and child. Instantly he felt his heart drop into his stomach and his heart twist sideways.
He stopped where he was and took the site in unwillingly, it was every he ever dreamt of and a reminder he would never live it. For a moment he felt the hot sear of tears dance on the edge of his eyelids. Wincing, he closed his orbs quickly and swallowed harshly, attempting to swallow the tears. Slowly he opened them once it felt he had a control of his emotions, only to see the foal dance about playfully. “Rhaego don't go far!” The mother’s worried tone danced from her sweet lips and into the realm just like so… Once again he felt the pain suffocate his heart harshly. Sufficing a deep inhale he held his breath as he stood there unable to move, feeling his life crumble down before himself…
Octaviowalks. Octavio thinks.

Atlantis was lost in her own thoughts as she watched her son play. The thought of Rhaego, and how he came to be only brought her pain. Atlantis was so angry with the stag she believed she loved. What is love anyway? Atlantis had never really known what the word meant. Bright hazel orbs looked at her son frolicking before her and all her questions were answered. Her little boy was only a couple of months old now. But he meant the world to her. Rhaego was named after her brother. He had been kicked out of the herd once he had gotten old enough to breed, but when Atlantis and her brother were younger they were inseparable. So it seemed like a good name for the son that lit up her world. If she could smile she would have smiled then. The small little mare had hell getting him into this world and now he was hell bent on making sure she stayed in hell. Rhaego seemed to know that he was distressing his mother, he enjoyed playing with her. Atlantis could read the thoughts of others around her but for some reason she could not read Rhaego's thoughts. Atlantis was led to believe that her son had the same ability as his mother, just hasn't really pronounced itself yet. Atlantis snorted as she lowered her head back to the grasses that would sustain her belly for hours. Atlantis knew they better not stay in one place for too long. Auds listened to all the little sounds around her, the rustling of the grass, the birds in the trees. There wasn't any danger here. At least not at this time. The scars on Atlantis' face were a constant reminder that dangers were where you least expected them.
Rhaego was completely oblivious to his mother's worries. The sorrel and ivory colored colt believed he was fire in the sea of grass. His little head could barely reach above the grass, which seemed to add to the little one's imagination. Rhaego had begun to notice some things within his mind but he had yet to fully understand them. Rhaego knew he was just a baby. That he needed to stay close to his mother, but Rhaego could sense things. He seemed to know whether someone was a threat to him or not. Rhaego snorted at the thought of his mother. Atlantis had often spoke of her ability to read minds, but apparently she didnt use it very well. She was always getting in the way of Rhaego's new friends. It didnt matter who it was, they were bad for Rhaego. Rhaego snorted and reared into the air in frustration. But was immediately satisfied when a butterfly flew overhead. It didnt take much to entertain Rhaego. Or distract him for that matter. Lifting his little tiara above the grasses Rhaego watched the butterfly fly above him. Skinny uneven legs following the butterfly slowly. Not even paying attention to where he was going. It was a good thing that Rhaego had the same ability as his mother. For when there was a presence of a mind that was unfamiliar to Rhaego the colt stopped. White and red nostrils flared as he picked up the scent of the new stallion. Rhaego sensed discomfort, and dismay, great sorrow. But nothing that told Rhaego the stag standing before him was a threat. Without a seconds hesitation Rhaego stepped out of his mother's eyesight to confront the stallion. Chest puffed out in defiance. Who are you? Rhaego said without delay. He was never one for being shy.
Something was wrong. Atlantis lifted her multicolored tiara and searched the area. Someone was here, Atlantis could feel it. Someone's mind was out in the open that was neither her own or her son's. Orbs searched for the cause of her distress and immediately noticed that her son was out of her site. RHAEGO! Atlantis screamed in a panic. Everything she had gone through to keep him safe was all flooding the young mare's brain. She didnt know what she would do if her son was taken. Atlantis charged forward, but it didnt take long for her to spot the mind of her ambitious son and that of another stallion. He seemed uncomfortable but Atlantis immediately could sense he meant her young son no harm. At least she hoped not. Atlantis was still healing from her last fight. Atlantis trotted forward a little more politely. Upon reaching the pair Atlantis immediately closed off her mind and she was somewhat proud of how her son was handling things. He believed he was a stallion already. Forgive me, my son doesn't like to remember his manners. My name is Atlantis and this is my son Rhaego. Atlantis never knew what type of steed she would meet that day. For all she knew she was looking at another that could read minds like she could. Atlantis didn't like the fact that she was at the whim of another stallion. Not after what had happened to her before. If he really wanted to he could tear her apart. Atlantis turned her face towards her son and gave him a rather rough nuzzle as if to scold him. Not realizing that she exposed the scared side of her face to this newcomer. She was so used to having thses scars now that she hardly noticed them anymore.

His heart already twisted inside out and sideways with sorrow. As he swallowed harshly, he noticed that the young foal spotted him. Before he could react he watched the grass rustle, until out popped the foal. It was painted and rather young—not more than six months and it seemed he was quite the brave one. Suddenly Octavio realized what a dangerous situation he was in, getting between a mother and child could be a life-threatening situation. As the young colt spoke Who are you? Octavio took a nervous step back, ready to move away. He had no intensions on embarking on this small family and he didn’t want his mother to get the wrong idea that he approached the colt. Only a foal would try to get between mother and child and today he was no food.
As he stood their awkwardly, he felt his nerves twitch and he backed another step and stumbled on his word, “Ugh.. I… um… I ugh…”
|
[/b] Only to be interrupted by a worried mother’s cry. As her shrill cry entered the meadow, Ocatvio found himself jumping slightly and almost cowering back, but instead just lengthened the distance between him and the colt with another step. Emerald orbs gazed over to her direction and watched her take off towards them. There he stood tensing his muscle ready for a nasty blow from her, most mares would… Luckily for him, he watched her process the situation and break into a not so worried trot. She still was obviously unnerved that her son escaped her watch but some how she knew Octavio wasn’t a threat. It puzzled him to see her react so calm to a stallion being so close to one’s child but it was like she literally knew he was nothing but a mere passerby. As the mare placed herself between him and the colt, Octavio took one more respectful step backwards dropping his ivory cranium down showing his submission. He meant no harm and he wanted to make clear of that. As his cranium dropped ivory tendrils fluttered around his masculine nape, and emerald pools gazed up at her tenderly. It felt as he stood there in front of her with his heart sinking into his abdomen, he waited painfully for her to speak on farther. Forgive me, my son doesn't like to remember his manners. My name is Atlantis and this is my son Rhaego. Angelic vocals danced into the atmosphere jut perfectly as Octavio swallowed harshly and forced a smile upon his lips and nodded softly. The silenced soaked in before he realized it was his turn to speak. Unsure what to really say he stood there silently. Finally he was able come up with some word, “It’s quite alright. He’s just curious.”[/b] Octavio flushed a soft smile as his emerald orbs gazed over the duo that stood before him. It was just a constant reminder of what a failure he was in his own life. Suddenly realizing his gaze was on them too long, he tore his gaze down to the soil nervously. A soft breeze danced warmly across meadow, and delicately played between their tendrils, making them dance about softly. [/justify] Octaviowalks. [atrb=border,0,black][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=background,http://i831.photobucket.com/albums/zz237/CarharttCreations/mid.png] Rhaego was confused. This stallion was stepping away from him like he was afraid. No other stallion had ever acted like that before. Rhaego stared hard into the stallions eyes as if he was trying to get his uttermost secrets from them. He may have the ability to read minds but the poor colt had yet to figure out how to turn it on and off like his mother. The red and ivory painted colt took a step forward as the stallion took a step back. What is wrong with you? Are you alright? Rhaego was truly concerned now. The normally rambunctious little colt lowered his head as if to show the stallion that he was not going to harm him. Even though he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I didn't hurt you did I? The first thought that went through Rhaego's mind, was what would momma say if i hurt someone. Rhaego had begun to realize that his thoughts would sometimes cause harms to others. Even though he did not understand why. He had been able to keep things from his mother for this long, but he was not going to last long if more occurrences happened.
Atlantis had not realized how panicked she really was until she came face to face with the stallion and saw the look of pure terror on his face. Atlantis had been charging through the meadow like some crazy mare, it was no wonder he was scared of her. Rhaego looked at her son and it almost seemed like he was ashamed of himself. Bright hazel eyes stared at her son puzzlingly. But he was too intent on his new found friend to be paying her any attention. The stallion's head was low to the ground, Atlantis was confused slightly. Every fiber of her being was telling her that he meant her no harm. And yet he was still lowering his head and taking steps back as if to simplify the matter. Atlantis lowered her head as well, not near as low as he but enough to show that she meant him no harm as well. As if she could. The slight adrenaline that was going through her body, the moment she thought her son was lost, had hidden the fact that she was lame. That she was injured, still trying to heal. What on earth could she do to a stallion when she was hurt this badly.
Atlantis snorted at the thought of her son just being curious. That was a laugh. If Rhaego was just curious then I would not have much to worry about. Atlantis said with another snort. Nuzzling her colt lovingly Atlantis said But that is what is going to make him a great stallion one day. A son that she could be proud of. One that would never abuse those around him. Snapping out of her sudden lapse, Atlantis looked at the bright grey stallion before her. He was a handsome one, that was evident. But there was something about him that made Atlantis want to reach out to him. It was just something a mother did, a female did. Oh I seem to have forgotten my manners as well. What is your name?

It was evident the poor child was uncertain by the way Octavio was being so submissive. Emerald orbs watched the child’s face turn into a confused look, Octavio offered a soft smile in attempt to reassure him that he was alright. What is wrong with you? Are you alright? The little question rang in his ears like an alarm wakening him from his sad, depressed, and woe is me state of mine. Realizing how ridiculous he was being, he found himself standing up straighten He lifted his lips opening into a larger smile and softly went to spoke but stopped short with the little boy’s question, I didn't hurt you did I? Softly Octavio shook her cranium, letting the ivory tendrils dance about lightly against his thick nape. Of course this sweet child didn’t do a thing to him besides bring up old memories and there was no way the colt could control that.
Not quite sure what to do he stood there, uncertain with a blank expression on his face. Emerald orbs gazed over the duo as they looked at each other. They really were a pair for sore eyes. Once her cranium dropped he took a half step back and softly smiled nervously. Nostrils flared slightly exhaling slowly with an uncertain manner as he stood there plainly and uncertain.
“If Rhaego was just curious then I would not have much to worry about.” Her soft vocals danced in the breeze, causing him to soak it in slightly. A friendly smile spread across his features as he nodded softly and finally replied with his soft tender vocals, “Yes, he was just curious and had great manners to add to it.”
|
[/b] Octavio smiled tenderly as his emerald orbs moved from the sweet mare’s face to her son’s and gave him a hearty smile to reassure the young colt he had done nothing wrong. “That is what is going to make him a great stallion one day.” Nodding in agreement he watched as she sweetly nudged the colt. The site was almost as painful as the memories, but he hid the wincing pain by a smile that he forced across his ivory features. As he stood there, he let his optics shift down toward the realm’s soil in an uncertain manner unsure what to think or say. It had been so long since he had lead into a conversation and it seemed he was rather rusty. While standing there, he had completely forgot his manners but it seemed that this mare was one step ahead of him. “Oh I seem to have forgotten my manners as well. What is your name?” Realizing his own lack of sing his manners his orb enlarged with slight embarrassment and softly spoke, “Oh dear, forgive me I am the one who has forgotten their manners. My name is Octavio and it’s a pleasure to meet the both of you… Sorry if I seem a bit off, to be honest i haven't spoken to any one in quite some time. I'm a bit rusty, I guess...”[/b] He pushed a forced smile on his features as he looked upon the picture perfect duo, letting a soft chuckle escape his lips. It was evident he was no good at hellos, but he was much, much worse at goodbyes. [/justify] Octaviowalks. Octavio thinks.[/i] "Octavio talks."[/b] T A G » atlantis & rhaego ! M U S E » 9/10 ! It was obvious that he had not been in anyone's company in a very long time. It is a pleasure to meet you Octavio. And that is quite alright. I may be a little rusty as well, especially when it comes to stallions. Atlantis hoped she had not told this stag more information than she should've, but now Atlantis was beginning to believe what was the harm in that? Muscles rippled underneath her cream, and ivory colored pelt as she was constantly tensing and relaxing. Her muscles were so sore from her last fight. If you would like you are more than welcome to join us for a time? Atlantis had never noticed this before but this stag had greenery in his mane and tail. It had never occurred to her that he was not of Quietus breeding. But that didnt matter to Atlantis. She knew there was more to anyone than their breeding.
Rhaego had begun to wander off again. That was just what he did. The young colt just wanted to find another butterfly. It was Atlantis that had gotten Rhaego into butterflies. They were his mother's favorite. The really colorful ones especially. After seeing the butterfly earlier Rhaego was hell bent on finding another to show her. Little did Rhaego know the dangers that had been watching him for some time now. Rhaego could not control his power, and his mother had completely closed her mind to keep her from using her powers against the stag that she believed was a friend. Atlantis had let her guard down for a moment of polite conversation. For a moment of possibly spending time with someone that was not her son. But it was about to come back and bite her in the butt. Rhaego trotted forward taking are to stay within seeing distance of his mother. It didn't take long before a whole swarm of butterflies were flying all around Rhaego's head. With a scream of delight Rhaego bucked off and galloped out of his mother's sight. Just what the wolves wanted.
Something was wrong. Very wrong. Atlantis opened her mind and that was when she heard them. Dozens of little voices inside her head, and they were all saying the same thing. Attack. Atlantis' tiara shot straight into the air as bright orbs searched for the little colt that held her heart. Rhaego? Atlantis yelled. Suddenly Atlantis' heart sunk down to her hooves. The piercing, terrified scream of her son filled her auds and Atlantis did not have time to think. Without a word to Octavio Atlantis pinned her ears and charged towards the noise. Using their minds to tell her where to go. If Atlantis had had time to think she would have used her abilities to cause them mental harm. But her motherly instincts were kicking in and all she wanted to do was protect her son. Atlantis rounded a corner in the meadow, around a large mountain of rock, to find a horrible sight. A pack of wolves were racing after her son and he was just barely ahead of them.
It was obvious that they were toying with her son. Letting him get ahead and snapping at his heels to keep him moving. Atlantis was stone frozen with fear for her son for a split second. But when the head wolf snapped at her sons heels and he fell to the ground Atlantis acted without thought. Atlantis screamed with rage as she bounded forward, slamming hard into the first wolf that came close to her son. Rhaego was hurt, his cries filled Atlantis' ears as she tried to fight off the pack. That was way too much for the already injured mare to handle.Wtihin seconds Atlantis was on the ground and struggling to get back to her feet. This was not how she wanted her sons life to end.
Left some open options for you. but i was bursting with muse for this.

[atrb=border,0,black][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=background,http://i831.photobucket.com/albums/zz237/CarharttCreations/Untitled-2-25.png,true]Octavio couldn’t help but let his emerald orbs gaze over the dam that stood before him. She was delicately beautiful, like an orchid—so fragile that one wrong decision it would wither away for ever. There was something about her that almost seemed harmless and innocent but from the history and experience of his past he knew no femme was of the sorts. “It is a pleasure to meet you Octavio. And that is quite alright. I may be a little rusty as well, especially when it comes to stallions.” A soft and shy smile spread across his chiseled features as he stood there, muscles tense and mind racing. He was tired of living his life in this manner and wanted to change for the best but it seemed his history haunted with unwanted memories and there was no way of escaping. It was like a never ending maze that had so many dead ends there was no possible way to achieve anything.
Standing there the silence filtered in like poison, his mind running muck with wild thoughts. Feeling paranoid with being in the presence of a female was getting old. The last three years he had wandered around avoiding all contact but today it was inevitable. Finally he figured there was no reason to be acting so afraid—what was the pain if he just spoke to her and treated her fairly, she wasn’t the one who said she’d live the rest of her life with him and then sleep with his best friend. No, this mare had too much baggage of having a foal to even be worried about breaking some random man’s heart. Finally something changed in Octavio. Muscles relaxed and his racing thoughts came to a sudden stop and it seemed his whole persona began to alter. A softer more prominent smile escaped onto his lips and finally, after some time he was able to take a deep, cleansing breath. With that exhale he felt the heaviest weight lift off hid chest and he could breath again. Of course the pain was still there but it wasn’t haunting him like before.
Before he could clear the air, Atlantis’ voice softly questioned, as the warm breeze danced in the tall stocks, “If you would like you are more than welcome to join us for a time?” Watching as her muscles rippled under her creamy façade he nodded appreciatively and replied with a more wholesome and slightly confidence, “It would be my pleasure, thank you.”
|
[/b] Slowly he followed Atlantis to the middle of the meadow. Long stalks tickled his barrel with each movement he made. Flicking his lengthy flag, ivory tendrils slapped against his shining pelt while the green ivy intertwined within the tendrils. Flashing a soft smile, he waited for her to begin eating first. For a moment his emerald pools caught glimpse of her son jumping about playfully after the butterflies. Glancing around the outskirts of the meadow, he made sure there was no one else in site—for some reason he felt like some one was watching them. Not noticing anything in particular he shrugged it off, and dipped his enamels into the lush vegetation and began peacefully eating next to this dam, his thoughts beginning to wander over her beautiful façade. Octavio had been lost in thought over this new femme, and too busy eating to realize Rhaego had been missing. It hadn’t been until Atlantis, lifted her cranium that he came back to the realization of reality. As her cranium shot into the heavens, Octavio brought his up quickly in reaction. Quickly he scanned the meadow and noticed Rhaego wasn’t in site. Instantly he felt his abdomen go hollow, and her scream only solidified his fear. “Rhaego?” Before he could respond the painted femme was dashing off towards the thicket of pines. Instinct kicked in and he felt the need to flee, but Octavio wasn’t like that. Feeling a shot of adrenaline pulsate through his veins, he felt his muscles tense and digging his heels he jolted forward into a gallop after Atlantis, calling out, “Atlantis wait!”[/b] Dipping his maw low and stretching his nape, his strides lengthened and simultaneously he picked up speed. Screams filled his ears, causing the hair on his spine stand on end, God only knew what kind of trouble Rhaego was in, Octavio couldn’t even imagine. Jumping through an opening of brush the horrific scene came visible. A pack of six wolves were hunting down Rhaego, toying with him like he was a chew toy. Right as he made view he watched Atlantis take one down but was quickly consumed by their clutches. Pulling full board he dashed toward her. Opening his maw he let a blood curdling scream only stallions could make towards the wolves, ears flattened against his poll and enamels bared. Instead of coming out them with her daggers or enamels, he stopped and reared, letting his front daggers slice at the air wildly, letting his scream echo the realm like an Indian warrior cry. Suddenly from the ground came large ivy strands, with a inch thick base, that slithered like snakes. Quickly they multiplied and there were hundreds of them slithering towards the wolves that attempted to keep Atlantis to the ground. Branches began to wrap around their legs and slither up there bodies and slowly began to constrict them. Their jaws attempted to cut the branches but they were much to thick and strong for them. Octavio came crashing down to the ground and with his daggers hitting the realms soil the ivy that grew from the ground did one last constriction like a boa constrictor on its prey. The wolves made one last cry before the branches squeezed their last breath from their lungs. Only three were dead and three left… The three other wolves had still been chasing Rhaego. For only a moment his emerald pools looked to Atlantis and the branches consuming the wolves. Seeing she was safe he lunged towards the direction the wolves were chasing Rhaego. Jumping over the massive roots and ivy branches that had killed the wolves he lurched towards them at full bore. Lengthening his stride, his muscles screamed as he felt his mind weary. He had used so much energy already he was worried how much more he could disperse. The wolves cornered Rhaego in a quarry where he had fallen to the ground. Feeling his muscles scream, Octavio lunged towards the wolves, this time he didn’t stop. His cranium came crashing into on of the three sending to the ground, along with him hitting his the realm’s soil with his knees. The wolf letting out a yelp, Octavio turned and face a large oak tree that sat stationary by Rhaego. Octavio closed his orbs and winced as the massive tree suddenly began moving and coming to life. It angrily wallowed as it slowly began moving it branches. Before their very eyes an old wise man’s face came visible, but a smile was no present. Angry features possessed its gaze. Octavio stood there shaking still holding his eyes closed wincing, as he communicated with the now alive old growth. Angrily the oak leaned forward, still stationary by its roots and a large branch came swinging down at a deathly strong manner and smashed straight into one of the wolves sending it flying against the rock wall, killing it upon impact. The two other wolves watched in fear as the monstrous oak swung at them with another huge branch, Just barely missing, slamming into the ground next to them they turned and lunched in the opposite direction, disappearing into the dark of the forest. Finally Octavio fell to the realm’s soil, shaking wildly. Slowly the oak straightened up and his face dissipated along with its living movements. Slowly Octavio’s orbs opened and he staggered to his feet. Quickly he glanced around and saw Rhaegol. He staggered towards him and replied with a concerned manner, “Rhaego!? Rhaego, are you ok!?[/b] Coming to his side Octavio fell to his knees awaiting the child’s response. [/justify] Octaviowalks. Octavio thinks.[/i] "Octavio talks."[/b] T A G » atlantis & rhaego ! The wolves were all around her, Atlantis was in a frantic. The painted mare had no idea what to do now. All she could think about was Rhaego. She needed to protect Rhaego. How could she the shape she was in? Her son was always getting himself into some kind of trouble, last time it had been another mare. She had decided that she wanted Rhaego as her own personal trouble finder. Atlantis found herself stumbling back to her feet as Octavio took care of the wolves. This was puzzling to her. She had never had a stag take care of her like this before. Well besides her sire. Atlantis' head hung low as she watched the grey stallion charge after the last wolves. Sides were heaving heavily as she tried to stumble her way forward. Where was her son? Atlantis nickered, neighing louder and louder each time her son did not answer. She had seen Rhaego stumble and go down but she had not see the wolves get to him. Maybe he was alright. That was all she could think about.
Rhaego was so scared he could not see straight. When he had fallen down the wolves were on him within seconds. But then someone else was there to. Rhaego had expected to see his mother but instead he saw Octavio, his mother was off in the distance, trying to get to her feet. Rhaego knew that his mother had been injured. But he didn't understand why Octavio was the one coming to help him. Not her. Rhaego expected the pain to come but there was none. Instead Octavio came, and charged the remaining wolves away form him. Suddenly Rhaego wasn't scared anymore. He knew that everything would be alright. He squealed back to his momma as he got to his feet. The little colt had minor injures from the wolves, but he was still able to walk around fine. When Octavio returned Rhaego looked at the grey stallion with a new found awe. He had never seen anything like it. Of course he had seen his mother fight off intruders but never had he seen a true stallion fight.
Trying to take a few steps Rhaego was so shaky that he fell to the ground again. That was when Octavio approached. For a second there Rhaego listened to his pleas, and somehow he saw a father before him. This was what a father would say if he had one. How a father would act. Im fine Octavio. Are you ok? It was then that he heard another shrill cry from his momma. Obediently Rhaego walked back to his mother, going slow this time to make sure that he didn't loose his footing. Glancing back Rhaego hoped that Octavio would follow. After everything now Rhaego saw Octavio as a friend. [b[Momma are you alright?

[/b] Rhaego asked tentatively. After all the fights he had seen his mother in he had never seen her hold her head low like this. Nor not go chasing after him. Atlantis lifted her head slightly, not wanting to show Rhaego that she was hurt. Im alright my son. Bright hazel eyes stared at the stallion standing next to them. Not sure what to say. Thank you. Are you alright?[/left] [/font][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size][/color][/blockquote][/td][/tr][tr][td][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] [/td][/tr][/table]
